Dear Parents, Carers and Students
Year 11 Examination Results Day - Thursday 25 August 2022
I am writing to inform you about the arrangements for the GCSE results day on Thursday 25 August 2022.
The school will be open to students to collect their examination results from 10:00am until 11:00am. Students should proceed to the Drama Block, where results will be available to collect in a sealed envelope from staff who will be located at tables arranged in alphabetical order.
If a student does not come to collect their results in person, the results will be posted home the same day, and are typically received the next morning. Results will also be available via students’ Edulink account on the early afternoon of results day, so please make sure students retain the app. Please note, results will not be visible on the parent app.
However, if you wish for a parent or relative to collect results on behalf of a student, we must receive a signed note from the student specifying the name of the person who will collect the results and their relationship to the student. On the day we will also ask for identification from the person collecting the results. The signed note must be dropped into Main Reception by Monday 22 August.
For the first time in a few years, we would also like to extend the invitation to parents/carers and relatives to come into school, too. Many of our teachers will be around to see students again and we will provide an ice-cream for students, in the hope that it might bring a sunny day.
Mr Siggins, our Careers Lead, will also be available to offer advice and guidance to students who wish to discuss their results.
Please note that we receive the actual certificates in November, and we hope to be able to formally present these to students at our Annual Presentation Evening in November. Further details to come.
If you have any queries before the results day, please do not hesitate to contact the Exams team via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
Lastly, we are keen to get your feedback on the exams experience. If you could take two minutes to fill in the questionnaire linked below, it will help us to shape the exams period for future cohorts. Those who respond before Friday next week, 8 July, will be entered into a draw for one of two £50 Amazon vouchers.
We very much look forward to celebrating the culmination of five years hard work with students and we wish them every success for the future as they embark on the next stage of their life.
