Year 9 Citizenship Exam Information

Your Citizenship exam will cover the topics you have studied since the start of September within the “Rights and Responsibilities” unit. These include:

  • What rights we have.
  • What responsibilities we have.
  • Where our rights come from and the importance of documents like Magna Carta.
  • Why rights sometimes conflict or need to be limited.
  • Workers’ rights.

In addition to the work that you will have done/still be doing in class, there are some revision resources on the school website to help you:

  • A completed knowledge organiser with all the key information you need to know.
  • The relevant chapter from the Citizenship revision booklet, you could use the information to make some flashcards or cornel notes, and have a go at the practise questions that are in there.
  • Some re-cap questions that cover all the key topics.

If you have any questions about any aspect of the Citizenship exam then you need to make sure that you speak to your teacher in plenty of time before the date of your exam.
