Dear Parents/Carers of Year 6 children
We are very pleased to all be back at school again and have had a positive start to the year, with all students back full-time and great focus being seen in their lessons.
We are also pleased to celebrate another year of great exam results with 77% of students achieving a Grade 4 and above in both English and Maths, and just under 60% of students achieving a Grade 5 and above in both English and Maths. We are also delighted that over 35% of our students achieving a Grade 7 and above in Maths. The progress made by our students across all our subjects once again will place us in the top few schools across Hampshire.
These pleasing results build on our excellent results over many years and are reflective of our aspirational culture and the absolute commitment of students and staff alike, ensuring that students leave Brookfield equipped and ready to approach the next stage of their education, training or employment with confidence. There is much to be proud of and to build upon as we begin a new school year.
We are pleased to offer school tours for parents in the week beginning 25th September. We are offering tours on several days and at different times. We would like to extend the invite to your Year 6 son or daughter to come along with you for the tour.
These tours, led by our current Year 11 and Year 8 students, offer you and your child the opportunity to see the school ‘in action’ and ask lots of questions of our students about school life at Brookfield. Members of the senior leadership team will also be available to talk to and I will be available throughout the visit times if you have specific questions of me. We offered these for the first time last year and had a great response with nearly 1000 visitors.
TOURS ARE NOW FULLY BOOKED
This year, we will not be holding an Open Evening event but have further developed our website pages for admissions.
We hope that, following the admissions events, Brookfield will be your first-choice school. If you would like to know more, please contact Mr Martin Pryce, my Personal Assistant, to make an appointment (via Reception or firstname.lastname@example.org)
