Data Collection

Home Learning progress will be recorded in SIMs as part of each year group’s regular data sweep, in most cases twice per year. It will be recorded using a red, amber, green system:

• Green – Home Learning has been completed in line with teacher’s expectations
• Amber – Some home learning concerns are evident (i.e. little care has been taken in completion of home learning)
• Red – Significant home learning concerns are evident (i.e. the student regularly fails to submit any home learning). ‘Red’ would be unlikely to be selected for a student during a data sweep without regular ‘Home Learning Alerts’ having previously been recorded, see above.
