Student Wellbeing

Brookfield is supporting Children’s Mental Health week, encouraging our students to forge meaningful connections with their peers and staff and to reach out to others. The Student Leadership Team have been presenting assemblies with Mrs Calder, our Director of Learning for Student Inclusion, over the past fortnight to provide advice, guidance, positive coping strategies and to promote the wide range of support that Brookfield can provide for students. Please follow the link to see the attached presentation for full details of the range of provisions in place – please remind students to speak to their Tutor in the first instance if they would like to access support or guidance”

This Children’s Mental Health Week (9-15 February) encourages all children (and adults) to consider how meaningful connection with others underpins wellbeing, and to reach out to others. These connections are one aspect of a Whole Setting Approach to health and wellbeing in schools. A Whole Setting Approach prioritises healthy relationships, belonging, and resilience across your school's ethos, environment, and community, which can promote positive mental health in children and young people.
