Brookfield Community School is committed to the continuing professional development for all teachers that has a real impact on student achievement. Our teachers need to be up-to-date with new ideas and evidence and are given opportunities to explore fresh thinking and innovation around teaching developments. We provide a high-quality and comprehensive support and development programme for teachers at all stages of their careers. Our teachers are open for self-reflection and professional critique from others and take responsibility for their own professional development. We strive for all of our teachers to be day-to-day experts who can cope well with the demands of the profession and secure excellent outcomes for all of our learners.

The Next Steps programme runs alongside our Appraisal and Whole-School INSET and focuses on:
